Peter Shepherd is one of the tritagonists of the animated series, appearing in every episode.

Biography[]

Law Of Jumanji

Peter as Van Pelt rides an Elephant.

An abridged version of Peter Shepherd appears in the animated series, where he lives with his sister Judy and Aunt Nora in the old Parrish Mansion in Brantford. In contrast to being shy and rarely spoken in the film, Peter is cocky and self confident often saying punk terms such as: "Cool Beans" or "Nizzer". His tendency to get into trouble has led to him cheating, upsetting the game and frequently being transformed by the game into animals as punishment (such as a Monkey like in the film), although some forms have in turned granted him abilities that helped solve clues. In one instance after Van Pelt was thrown into a bottomless pit, Peter was slowly assimilated by the game to become his replacement and gained a control of the jungle animals, years before this ability was inherited by Professor Van Pelt.

Trivia[]

  • Sometimes the consequences Peter receives aren't always directly his fault. This is shown in some episodes:

This may be because of "JUMANJI" still having a grudge against Peter cheating the first time he played or as Alan Parrish said: "JUMANJI" is never fair. Peter also often says "Why is this game always picking on me?"

  • This version of Peter also appears in the 1997 Hasbro LCD game as the main character, the player controls to find Alan and Judy while evading the jungles of Jumanji, and its dangers while collecting letters to spell J-U-M-A-N-J-I. His portrait is also on the game's lower left corner.
