Jumanji: The Mobile Game is an app based game released in late 2017 to coincide with the release of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The game was available until the app finally closed on May 24th 2018.

Jumanji Mobile Game Closed

The app closure announcement.

The game plays like Monopoly (an inspiration Chris Van Allsburg took for writing the Jumanji picture book) where the player must roll dice to move along the area to claim and build on the squares, upgrading their properties and dealing their custom stack of cards to win the game by owning all squares or bankrupting their opponent within five minutes of rounds.

The player begins their game by selecting on of the four (five) adventurers from the film as their avatar, each one having their own unique skills for advantage.

Each player has a set of Gold Coins for tokens of exchange to purchase squares they land on, to make upgrades on their return and to win the game by not losing them all. Winning games will open more stages, and therefore unlock better cards.

Cards

Each card has it's own unique skillset as well as Attack and Defence powers. Using paper money earned from opening rucksacks and completing gaming matches will upgrade card properties to better potential.
