Jumanji: The Curse Returns is a casual time attack co-op game for up to 4 players, largely based on the 1995 film. The game combines the classic board game with a simple time attack, card matching mechanic. By working together, players can banish creatures and plants, enhance abilities, vanquish the jungle and reach the end to win the game.
In 2022 an expansion based on Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was released, adding a new board with altered rules, new encounters, and four playable characters based on the main quartet of that film. It was initially made available for free on a limited time basis, but the limited time period never ended, and is effectively free for all owners of the game.
Support for the game halted shortly thereafter, and ultimately the planned Jumanji: The Next Level expansion and base game location DLCs were cancelled. On November 7th, 2024, developer Marmalade Game Studio announced that the game would be delisted the following day. It has since been removed from all storefronts and no longer has a page on the developer's website.
