Cliffside School for Boys is an acclaimed private academic school for boys, based in Brantford, New Hampshire. The address is 80 Academy Drive, Brantford, NH03894. A Griffin serves as the school mascot.

It has served as a tradition for members of the esteemed Brantford Parrish families to attend Cliffside, even having a dormitory named after the father of Sam Parrish.
Sam and Carol Parrish always intended that their only son, Alan would follow the family tradition by attending Cliffside when the time came, accelerated by how he apparently stood up to the bullying gang led by Billy Jessup, as a gesture of how proud they were of him. Alan however felt unhappy about the sudden decision after his rotten day and had a falling out with his father, who insists on him going whether he likes it or not.

Overcome with anger and unhappiness, Alan intended to run away, and being transported into the dimension of Jumanji led to his public disappearance. Despite the unpleasant rumors, some more faithful beliefs included Alan having ran away which Sam presumably thought of happened due to their fallout over Cliffside School.
After Alan won Jumanji and returned to his own timeline, he reconciled with his father, and Sam even decided to talk over the matter with Alan, citing that he didn’t have to attend Cliffside if it wasn’t for him. Alan presumably did go to Cliffside, due to the newfound respect for his father after learning in the Jumanji timeline how much Sam really cared for him.

- The Cliffside School uses the "E Pluribus Unum" motto, meaning "Out of many, One". This may coincide with the alleged translation of "Jumanji" meaning "many effects".
- In the film's novel, Cliffside is based in Connecticut, instead of Brantford.
