Armadillos (Spanish for 'little armored ones') are mammals in the order Cingulata. They form part of the superorder Xenarthra, along with the anteaters and sloths. 21 extant species of armadillo have been described, some of which are distinguished by the number of bands on their armor. All species are native to the Americas, where they inhabit a variety of environments. There are also large variants that reside in "JUMANJI"

In The Riddle of Alan Judy and Peter arrive in the jungle and flee instantly from an enormous Armadillo, trying to clobber them with its tail. They catch their breath while wondering where Alan is, turning their attention to a newly arrived Grizzly Bear. Before the Bear can make an easy meal out of them, it turns it’s focus to the previous Armadillo, allowing the kids to make a run for it.
In Love Potion to get The Slick o matic, Alan had to pay 15 Armadillo shells.
